Electricity
There were 15 house/building fires reported during the week in Mangere, Oranga, Maraetai, Glen Eden, Takapuna, Birkenhead, Kelston, Papatoetoe East, Otahuhu, Henderson, Half Moon Bay, Wairau Valley, Manurewa and the CBD (2). Crews responded to requests from emergency services to isolate the electricity supply to allow fire crews to safely fight the flames.
Crews dealt with six car v pole incidents during the week in Mangere, Goodwood Heights, Remuera (2), Mt Wellington and Ranui.
There were also two car v pillar incidents in Greenhithe and Remuera East.
Gas
Third party damage to our gas network occurred in Tuakau, Otara and Pt Chevalier. Our crews attended, assessed the sites, and checked for safety.
