Homicide investigation, Cambridge
A homicide investigation is underway following the death of a woman in Cambridge overnight.
Emergency services were alerted to the woman’s death at around 1:20am.
An address on Richmond Road was identified as an address of interest and on arrival, a woman was located deceased at the property.
Police are making enquiries to locate the alleged offender, including in the wider Te Aroha area.
We want to reassure the community we have a number of staff dedicated to locating the offender and there will be an increased Police presence while these enquiries are underway.
We continue to advise members of the public to report any suspicious behaviour immediately to Police on 111.
A scene examination is currently underway at the Cambridge property and further information will be provided when able.
