Auckland Harbour Bridge Wind Alert Tomorrow
High winds may impact the Auckland Harbour Bridge for road users tomorrow afternoon, Saturday 27 September, with MetService advising some gusts potentially reaching 75- 85km/h between 1pm and 5pm.
The moveable lane barrier will be operated as normal this evening during the Friday peak.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions and pay attention to electronic message boards on the motorway, which will advise if any lane closures and reduced speed limits are required.
If there is potential for sudden and high wind gusts on the bridge, lowering the speed limit gives motorists time to react and take more care.
