Major policy launch at Mana Motuhake conference

Sandra Lee MPThere will be a major new policy announcement at the Mana Motuhake hui a tau (annual conference) this week-end.

‘We are going to launch our Treaty of Waitangi policy, which we believe is a map to take all Maori into the next millennium.

‘I am proud to sit alongside a panel of what I think are the most talented line- up of candidates for the Maori seats in this election.

'This is our last annual conference before the election and before the next millennium. The candidates you see here today are, I believe, the Maori heart of the next government.”

Sandra Lee's leader's address will take place at 2pm. All Mana Motuhake/Alliance candidates will speak shortly after Sandra: Willie Jackson (Hauraki), Des Ratima (Ikaroa-Rawhiti), Joe Puketapu (Te Tai Hauauru), Arapeta Tahana (Waiariki), Vern Winitana (Te Tai Tonga) and Ella Henry (Te Tai Tokerau)
