Winston Peters on standing in Northland
NZ First leader Winston Peters told TV One’s Q+A programme this morning he can win the Northland by-election on 28th March 2015.
“The fact is the people up there, I believe, want to send the government a message, which goes simply like this – start paying attention to us,” he says.
Earlier on Q+A Prime Minister John Key said that Mr Peters doesn’t have any chance of winning the Northland by-election.
Mr Peters responded by saying “he doesn’t think that. That’s why the National Party is panicking, because if you knew how many people in the National Party in the north have contacted us, then he would know it as well.”
