Waipawa River Still Outside Ban
The Waipawa River flow is still above low flow limits this week thanks to rainfall in the catchment, so remains at a warning status.
A ban is back on irrigation takes from the Ngaruroro River Whanawhana site, 12800 L/sec and above.
A warning has been placed on the Kauhauroa Stream tributary in the Wairoa catchment this week.
Irrigation bans in Hawke’s Bay are on the Karewarewa, Poukawa, Irongate, and Te Waikaha Streams and the Karamu Stream at the Floodgates, plus the upper Ngaruroro River at the Whanawhana monitoring site.
Under warning are takes from the Kauhauroa Stream tributary, Tukipo River, Waipawa River, Tukituki River (at Tapairu Road monitoring site only) and the Papanui Stream.
