The future of business in Waikato

What will doing business in the Waikato in 10 years time be like?

That’s the focus of a free panel discussion later this month, co-sponsored by Waikato Regional Council, the University of Waikato, the Waikato Chamber of Commerce and the Sustainable Business Network.

Three expert panelists will talk about their expectations for the business environment in 2025, taking into account likely economic, environmental and social changes. They will also give their thoughts on what people need to do to prepare so they can operate in a changing world with resource constraints and within changing customer and stakeholder expectations.

The panelists are:
· Xavier Black, corporate social responsibility manager at Deloitte New Zealand

· Dr Juliet Roper, professor in management communication at the University of Waikato

· Tama Potaka, general manager corporate services at Tainui Group Holdings.

The session will run from 10am-11am on Friday 30 October, at the university’s Te Whare Tapere Iti. Registration opens at 9.45am.
