Acting chief executive of Housing Corporation resigns

The chairman of Housing Corporation of New Zealand, Roger Bonifant, today announced the resignation of Ross Sellwood from his position as acting chief executive of Housing Corporation of New Zealand and general manager of Community Housing Ltd.
“Ross Sellwood leaves us on 2 May 2001 to take up a position as general manager for McLay and Co, an executive recruitment company with offices in Wellington and Auckland. Michael Lennon, currently chief executive of Housing New Zealand, will take over from Ross as acting chief executive of the Housing Corporation from Thursday 3 May until Michael becomes chief executive of Housing New Zealand Corporation from 1 July 2001. Ian Bourke will be acting as Transition Manager of Housing Corporation for the same period,” Roger Bonifant said.
“Housing New Zealand Corporation will from 1 July 2001 assume the roles and functions previously undertaken by the Housing Corporation, Housing New Zealand, Community Housing and the Ministry of Social Policy’s housing team.
“Ross Sellwood has been involved with government housing for 15 years and has made a significant contribution in all of the roles he has undertaken, particularly to Community Housing. We wish him every success in his new venture,” Roger Bonifant said.
