Unique new flavour for gourmet favourite
The unique flavour of New Zealand’s tea tree permeates a new treat for salmon lovers with the launch of Seasmoke’s Manuka Cold Salmon into supermarkets nation-wide.
Previously available in restaurants only, Seasmoke Manuka Cold Smoked Salmon adds a new taste sensation and provides additional choice for lovers of one of the globe’s most delicious and indulgent foods.
The manuka smoking process involves curing the fish at a lower temperature than hot smoking – less than 30 degrees C compared to between 80 and 100 degrees C. In the process, the salmon takes on the flavour of the wood but is not thermally cooked.
Traditionally-cured salmon has long been a robust and flavoursome cornerstone of the brand’s gourmet range, says Seasmoke’s Stephen Gibson.
“With Seasmoke Manuka cold smoked salmon now available in supermarkets, shoppers can enjoy the velvety, luxurious texture and fuller flavour previously only available to diners in selected restaurants,” Mr Gibson says.
Seasmoke Cold Smoked Salmon is available at all leading supermarkets in specially labelled packs at a RRP of $9.95
The Seasmoke range also includes delicately-smoked eel, mackerel and mussels.
