Destinations magazine: re-launch as upscale digital and print magazine

Destinations magazine, now under new ownership has re-launched with a sophisticated new look and responsive website, targeting a premium travel audience.

An all new print issue hit newsstands in September with a contemporary new design by award winning studio, One Design.

Destinations aspires to ”connect people, places, cultures and lifestyles” with a content horizon inclusive of New Zealand, Australia and the South Pacific but also providing global insights, fitting with the ‘People Going Places’ ethos.

Digital savvy editor Rowena Bahl has introduced live content to the print pages using ground-breaking Layar app technology which combines video to enhance print content.

Marketing Director Cola Larcombe says that Destinations represents, “An Exciting new travel and lifestyle magazine delivering compelling content for readers on the platform of the readers’ choice”.

“The new Destinations offers advertisers’ genuinely innovative and exciting opportunities to engage a print audience and extend the brand communication across multiple digital channels” says Larcombe.

Strong promotional activity underpins the re-launch - New Zealand retail distribution is by Netlink and it is also circulated to hotels, airline lounges and premium cab companies.

A series of brand additions extends the quarterly published flagship Destinations into complementary digital and print content areas. Three special brand extensions will be published annually: Wine Destinations, Cruise Destinations and Wedding Destinations.

All content is available in print or digital.
