Standard Clinical Trial Research Agreement Welcomed
Standard Clinical Trial Research Agreement Welcomed
Time, money and manpower will be saved by a new, standardised Clinical Trial Research Agreement.
Released by the NZ Association for Clinical Research (NZACRES), this standardised contract has been developed for use by sponsors and clinical trials sites.
“The agreement is a high quality example of collaboration between the research industry and the health system, led by NZACRES,” Medicines New Zealand General Manager Kevin Sheehy says.
“It will reduce the unnecessary legal and administrative costs of developing an entirely new contract every time a new trial is started.”
NZACRES’ goal was to develop an agreement consistent with international best practice.
“It is this type of practical step that will ensure New Zealand remains an attractive location to conduct clinical research,” Mr Sheehy adds.
