Dysfunction – a thing of the past for thousands

PRESS STATEMENT FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

BISHOP BRIAN TAMAKI
DESTINY CHURCHES NEW ZEALAND

28 JUNE 2006

Abuse, Domestic Violence and Dysfunction – a thing of the Past for Thousands at Destiny Church

“We’re doing something right”

Former abusers, addicts and domestic violence perpetrators have been transformed through Destiny’s unique form of ministry.

With abuse and social dysfunction escalating in society, thousands have had their lives turned around from former abusive lifestyles through constant exposure to Bishop Tamaki’s unique style of imparting and teaching Christian values.

Destiny Church spokesperson Janine Cardno, says there is probably not a single organization at the moment that has the solutions and success that Bishop Tamaki is getting with these types of issues and particularly, with Maori families.

“I am so concerned about what is happening in terms of abuse trends in our communities but I have predicted this for some time. It will continue to get worse unless we address the root issues. I believe we have the solutions to those root problems and therefore, declare this Sunday only, open to the media to come meet many of the families who have overcome abuse and family dysfunction,” says Bishop Tamaki.

Bishop Tamaki will also present the essence of the message that has been central to the transformation of thousands of lives, particularly Maori, in his Church – this Sunday only.
