Police and the Police Association have agreed terms of settlement on the 2006 wage bargaining round said General Manager Human Resources Wayne Annan.

Mr Annan said the settlement provides for a four per cent (4%) increase to the total remuneration from 1 July 2006, a further four per cent (4%) from 1 July 2007 with a further one per cent (1%) from 1 January 2008 for permanent sworn and non-sworn staff. The settlement also includes a range of incentives for frontline staff.

"This represents a satisfactory settlement and the commitment of all parties involved to arrive at an agreement with no disruption and distraction to operations," said Mr Annan.
