Romanian Team Visit

The RWC 2011 Romanian Team will be arriving in Christchurch this Thursday 1st September and are expected in the international arrivals lounge at 2:45pm.

The team members will be greeted by children, will receive an official greeting from Ngai Tahu and Mayor Bob Parker will present a brief welcome speech. The players will then move about the crowd to sign autographs and will be available to speak to media (however they speak very limited English).

The team will be travelling through Christchurch onto Ashburton for their Official Welcome and Capping ceremony on the 2nd.

Romania have played in every RWC to date but unfortunately have yet to progress past the group stages. They are extremely excited to be in New Zealand and Canterbury.
